Keep Blue Light in Its Lane
Blue light has stronger evidence for acne, which can make sense if adult breakouts remain part of your picture. It is usually not the priority for a typical postmenopausal routine focused on fine lines, dryness, or texture.
A mask advertising seven colors is not necessarily more versatile in a meaningful way. For mature-skin concerns, I would pay for published red and near-infrared specifications before paying extra for a rainbow setting.
Put LED Below the Essentials
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen remains the first purchase, and a well-tolerated retinoid has stronger rejuvenation evidence than an LED mask. LED is a low-downtime adjunct, not a facelift, prescription substitute, or replacement for professional care.
Favor language saying FDA-cleared over “FDA registered,” then follow the device instructions and avoid chasing faster results with extra sessions. See a dermatologist for anything that bleeds, changes shape, or does not heal.
Start by protecting skin daily, then consider a red-and-near-infrared mask only if its wavelengths and dose are clearly published. The best LED purchase is the one that fits a steady routine without displacing the basics.
