Histoire
Le lotus bénéficie d’une image de sérénité et de raffinement aquatique. Déjà présente dans la fragrance originelle de L’Eau d’Issey, cette ‘recomposition imaginaire d’une fleur d’eau’ est mise en avant pour le printemps 2014. Cette édition Lotus est lancée conjointement avec Yuzu, une variation de L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme. Le flacon iconique s’habille de vert givré et d’un capot blanc.

In India, lotus flowers are considered very important. Lotus is a religious symbol. In this fragrance, I don’t really get the idea of lotus from the quick testing. The scent is an easy to wear aquatic-floral if you like such perfumes like the original L’Eau d’Issey. I wouldn’t have chosen anise green for the new lotus bottle. Maybe soft pink or white. I generally love green but the colour (and the concept) is possibly more spring / summer like, than lotus. It is pleasant but not too different from the original L’Eau d’Issey but it will certainly be admired and worn by those who love the soft ethereal spirit of Issey Miyake perfumes.
